11.00 am to 4.00pm 

Mell Lloyd, who is married to Head Gardener, Steve, has run Maples since 2020. She is dedicated to the tearoom and the gardens, and she and her staff work tirelessly to offer delicious food and exceptionally warm and friendly service.

Maples is situated in the old dining room of Hergest Croft, with lovely views across the lawn and outdoor seating on the veranda or terrace for garden visitors.

Breakfast, light lunch, snacks and afternoon tea are served. There are ice creams, a huge selection of locally baked cakes and very spoiling cream teas, as well as a specials board that changes most days. Vegan and vegetarian options are available, and gluten and dairy allergies are catered for.

Maples Tearoom is open whenever the gardens are open and also on certain days during the winter with special OAPs’ lunches and Sunday roasts available on some week-ends. Please see below or contact Mell for further details on 07970 595 420. Dogs on leads are welcome in the Tearoom.
